Center for Public Policy and Private Enterprise

The Center for Public Policy and Private Enterprise (CPPPE) is dedicated to providing extensive research into the current and future election cyber-security issues faced in the state of Maryland.

Why We Invested

The problems confronting the state of Maryland Board of Elections are not unique to the state, but rather broadly shared by similar jurisdictions around the country. The Center for Public Policy and Private Enterprises, located at the University of Maryland, a project at the University of Maryland, aims to provide the strategic link between the public and private sector improvements in election cybersecurity. With the help of our grant, The University of Maryland’s Center for Public Policy and Private Enterprise will be able to collaborate with the Maryland State Board of Education to examine current and prospective cyber risks to its system and the operations of high assurance and high integrity elections.
