Rock the Vote

Rock the Vote holds a unique place in youth voter registration, having a long-standing history of working with music artists and other entertainers to get young people interested in politics and elections. Rock the Vote has developed online tools that facilitate online voter registration and has created partnerships with states that provide online voter registration services.

Why We Invested

Rock the Vote is the largest nonprofit, nonpartisan organization solely dedicated to mobilizing the youth vote — since 1990, Rock the Vote has helped register and turn out millions of young people.

In addition to continuing its work to ensure registered young people make it to the polls on election day, the organization has long worked on ensuring the registration process is easy, accessible, and modern. Rock the Vote helped lead the push for the National Voter Registration Act (or the “motor voter bill”) in the nineties, and today is focused on ensuring our registration system utilizes 21st century tools. Rock the Vote created one of the first online registration tools, and is partnering with states to make online registration a reality in more places.
