In keeping with our commitment to transparency, we are listing the grants below while we work with the grantees to develop an organizational page for our site.

Reporters without Borders

2017: Up to $75,000 over two years

To provide general operating support for Reporters Without Borders which supports the work of the United States branch as they seek to advance journalist security, provide legal support, and advocate for the enforcement of existing laws.


Student Press Law Center

2017: Up to $150,000 over two years.

To provide general operating support to the Student Press Law Center to grow this necessary resource for student journalists and their supervisors at every educational level and become a cornerstone for the press freedom community.

Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget

2014: Up to $100,000 over one year.

To provide project support to the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget to plan a new initiative called “Fix the System,” which will engage diverse groups of business and political leaders to reduce political dysfunction and gridlock.


Common Cause Education Fund

2014: Up to $250,000 over one year.

To provide general operating support to Common Cause Education Fund, which educates and engages the public to promote a healthy, robust democracy on issues like improving the administration of elections and how campaigns are financed.
