Why We Invested
The Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC) is promoting a bipartisan effort on election reform through the dissemination of elections administration best practices and policy recommendations to promote effective change in the field. By working with election officials and academics, BPC promotes data-driven practices at the state and local level, and expands the participation of election and public officials in election reform debates. They recently adopted a model for building policy recommendations that relies on three task forces. Each task force addresses an election administration issue where consensus has been difficult to achieve in the past. This task force model will better facilitate in-depth discussion of difficult election reform issues and allow new ideas to be considered.
