Center for Information and Research on Civic Learning & Engagement

The Center for Information and Research on Civic Learning and Engagement (CIRCLE) is a nonprofit organization that focuses on young people in the United States, especially those who are marginalized or disadvantaged in political life.

WHY WE INVESTED

A challenge facing our election system today stems from the lack of voter engagement deriving from an absence of knowledge and trust, especially among young, disconnected voters. The low capacity and attention paid to understanding and promoting youth voter turnout, especially among local election administration, is often overlooked.

With the help of our grant, the Center for Information and Research on Civic Learning and Engagement (CIRCLE) will conduct research on the intersection of youth engagement and election administration, to help election officials better understand and address the needs of young voters, as well as to better engage youth in the elections process.
