Chicago Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law

The Chicago Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law provides legal representation through partnerships with the private bar and collaborates with grassroots organizations and other advocacy groups to implement community-based solutions that advance civil rights.

WHY WE INVESTED

The Chicago Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law is conducting an evaluation of Automatic Voter Registration (AVR) in Illinois. The research will capture data before, during, and after AVR implementation, and will evaluate its effects on both the public and election officials. This project will help expand the knowledge base for election officials on best practices for implementing AVR, as well as the challenges associated with the implementation.

With our support, the Chicago Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law will provide vital data on how Automatic Voter Registration impacts elections.
