Common Cause Education Fund: Hawaii Engagement Project

Common Cause Education Fund (CCEF) is a national organization supporting civic reform in the U.S., working for improvements in both election administration and campaign finance.

Why We Invested

Common Cause Hawaii is working to strengthen public participation in government and engaging with other nonprofit organizations to encourage voter participation in elections. This work is particularly timely since Hawaii is moving to vote-by-mail for some of their elections, and Common Cause Hawaii work will provide a model for other local organizations to do outreach promoting nonpartisan voter turnout across the state.

Democracy Fund believes that by modernizing elections, promoting greater community ties, developing strong narratives around the importance of voting and civil participation, and making use of technology and social media, voter turnout will increase.
