Democracy Fund

electionline

Founded in 2001, electionline.org is the nation's only nonpartisan, non-advocacy clearinghouse for election reform news and information.

Why We Invested

electionLine provides the election administration community with unfiltered news and information, communicates innovation, and fosters information sharing across jurisdictions. For election officials, policy experts, and others who care deeply about elections, electionLine is a centralized location of information highlighting what jurisdictions are doing well and where they need to improve. Maintaining and sustaining a website dedicated to election administration news plays an integral role in supporting the efficacy and transparency of the field.

At Democracy Fund, we believe that Americans deserve modern, voter-centric elections as a part of a responsive political system. As a grantmaker, this means investing in other organizations, projects, and platforms that support the spread of good information and foster dialogue. At times, it can also mean developing and creating our own internal efforts. In that spirit, we are excited to welcome electionline.org as a Democracy Fund project.
