Why We Invested
Faith in Public Life has worked to change the narrative surrounding the relationship between faith and political engagement in the United States, advancing major policy victories, and empowering new religious leaders to continue the fight for social justice. Our grant to Faith in Public Life is grounded in their unique ability to network and build relationships with leaders of faith groups including the Muslim, Arab, and South Asian (MASA) community. In 2018, FPL hopes to build on their previous interfaith clergy trainings by continuing previous interfaith clergy trainings in Florida, Ohio, Georgia and North Carolina. Combining their keen media expertise, rapid-response capabilities, and proficiency in strategic campaign development, their team will work to establish a robust network of partners in the faith community, capable of responding to current and future attacks on marginalized communities.
