WHY WE INVESTED
In an era when constitutional discourse, including in the context of litigation, tends to be politically polarized, the public’s trust in our institutions diminishes. To fill that vacuum, the Institute for Constitutional Advocacy and Protection offers vital understandings of the Constitution and its protection that draw on scholarship and a wide range of practical experience, including extensive service in the Federal Government.
The grant provided by Democracy Fund will support the Institute for Constitutional Advocacy and Protection’s litigation and will help provide the capacity for their efforts to protect vulnerable communities by pursuing the most critical cases. Through direct engagement with the public in sponsored events as well as through writing and speaking about the Constitution, ICAP will seek to heighten and ground today’s constitutional conversation and move in in a meaningful direction.
