Issue One

Issue One is the leading cross-partisan political reform group in Washington. They unite Republicans, Democrats, and Independents in the movement to increase transparency, strengthen ethics and accountability, and reduce the influence of big money in politics.

Why We Invested

Fostering change in the political system requires a long-term strategy that includes creating a landscape where a wide and diverse range of advocates are part of the reform conversation. Issue One is working to bring Americans from across the political spectrum together to pursue solutions to dysfunction and the undue influence of money in politics so that our political leadership is able to address the issues that concern Americans.

Through efforts to create a shared vision for advocates, strategic grant making, and organizing bipartisan leadership, Issue One aims to fill the gaps in the movement and spread the notion that we all pay a price when money and hyper-partisanship overwhelms our politics.
