Leadership Conference Education Fund

The Leadership Conference Education Fund builds public will for laws and policies that promote and protect the civil and human rights of every person in the United States.

Why We Invested

The Education Fund was founded in 1969 as the education and research arm of The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, the nation’s oldest and largest civil and human rights coalition of more than 200 national organizations. The Education Fund’s Voting Rights Program tells the stories of voter suppression in jurisdictions after Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act was removed. By highlighting the powerful personal stories of those affected by voter suppression, The Education Fund’s Voting Rights Program will re-establish voting as a fundamental right.

Leading into the 2020 election, the Voting Rights Program will expand its strategic communications capacity and build a public narrative around the realities and challenges of accessing the ballot.
