Wayne State University: Levin Center

The Levin Center at Wayne State University Law School is dedicated to strengthening the integrity, transparency, and accountability of public and private institutions through academic programming, training, workshops, and scholarship.

WHY WE INVESTED

Congress acts as a critical check on waste, abuse, and other government wrongdoing. But partisanship and a strained relationship between Congress and the executive branch has led increasingly to “gotcha” oversight, intended to score political points rather than solve real problems. With the help of our grant, The Levin Center will strengthen congressional oversight research efforts, promote the benefits and importance of bipartisan, fact-based oversight, and increase the number of congressional staff that can conduct fact-based oversight through training in partnership with the Project On Government Oversight and the Lugar Center.
