WHY WE INVESTED
Annually, on the fourth Tuesday of September, a national media campaign amplifies the efforts of thousands of local partners – nonprofits, universities, libraries, businesses, coops, etc. – to register voters in their communities. Since 2012, over 1.6 million people have registered to vote or updated their registration as part of NVRD.
With the help of our grant, Nonprofit VOTE will use NVRD as a platform for widespread voter education, working to remove the informational barriers often associated with registration. NVRD informs the public of various mechanisms available to register to vote, including modern solutions such as online voter registration.
