University of Pennsylvania: Center for High Impact Philanthropy

The Center for High Impact Philanthropy (CHIP) is the only university-based center with a singular focus on philanthropy for social impact. Founded as a collaboration between the School of Social Policy & Practice and alumni of the Wharton School, it is a trusted source of knowledge and education to help donors around the world do more good.

Why We Invested

The Center for High Impact Philanthropy (CHIP) at University of Pennsylvania is developing a toolkit that will help philanthropists understand different approaches to strengthening democracy and ways donors can support efforts around the United States. CHIP is conducting a field scan, partnering with advisors, and developing specific resources on what is working well in the journalism and elections fields, and will disseminate the toolkit to various donor networks.
